biking along

first saturday in portland! (i was in tacoma, wa last saturday)

homemade waffles - banana, cherries and syrup; awesome
bookstore - coffee smell, tons of book, bought a zine (recommended by a lady from el paso food not bombs that was from portland)
vegan mini mall (herbivore, food fight) - chuy got a shirt, i got a money clip, we got a book for sophie and a bunch of vegan specialty food items...like chipotle vegeneise (!)
red and black cafe - vegan anarchist restaurant; delicious sandwiches
sweet pea bakery - mocha, a coffee the size of a head for chuy, peanut butter brownie, boston creme doughnut
citybikes - co op bike shop where we bought our bikes, got some lights
laurelhurst park - forest like, had a lake, huge, awesome
wunderland - nickle arcade, cheap movie, popcorn, dark shadows, quirky funny, good

that was my day, it was great!

Random Portland Fact #2: Portland has the only volcano (extinct) within city limits according to the zine we bought, it's called Mount Tabor, we shall check it out :)
