goodbye. It was nice having you for more than 4 years. I didn't give you the care that you needed yet you pulled through. I broke parts of you. I spilled things on you. And you survived. But stumbleupon was too much for you with all its malicious links. I got my first virus with you. We cleaned you up. But now you refuse to work. You say the harddrive is broken. That may be so. Or maybe it's another virus. Seems more likely. I do not know. Or care. You are too far gone. Goodbye.

ReplyDeleteYeah, just cuz it's broken anyway, I want to put Win7 on it and see if I can get it running again. Get me that license you said you can get from school! And I will do that today. While I work :)
ReplyDeleteUpdate: The PC won't output to the external monitor until windows loads. Which I can fix in the BIOS, but I can't see the screen...and I couldn't find a BIOS map to do it blindly. I also tried booting from CD, and I think it does, but still won't output anything to the external monitor, even though I can hear the CD being read from. So maybe, we can still save this laptop. A screen is £88. With that, we can reinstall windows, and viola! Rescued laptop...
