solar night light
yesterday after fun out in the nice weather... we came back and i started working on making sophie a solar night light...she had asked for a night light before, but i didnt really liked the options...so i went all diy and made it myself....first i bought a 5 dollar solar garden light...i didnt need to buy anything else since we had the rest of the necessary tools....i used a little jar (leftover from the jars we bought for the spices), some craft glues, some scissors, a xacto knife, a lid from a yogurt container, some colorful paper, some paint and the solar panel attached to the rechargeable battery from the garden light....so i disassembled the light, cut the yogurt lid to size....i did the yogurt lid because the solar panel obviously has to be visible and the lid the container had was metal...so i cut the yogurt lid and attached the solar panel to it with glue and tape....i then decorated the jar with colorful see thru paper since sophie loves colorful stuff.... and then i put it all together and voila! i had a cute, colorful night light thats solar powered! and the best part is that sophie loves it!
