plans...

...they never work...

Today, the day went pretty much not how I planned it.  I was supposed to go to school, prepare my presentation, turn in some files a school buddy sent me to turn in for him, go get some tofu before Sophie's lunch, make lunch, do laundry and stuff, then make chili and cornbread that I've been craving.  Pretty simple stuff... Well, I got started on my presentation but I am not even close to being done...  The turning in of files turned into printing stuff and binding it, and turning in stuff (and I found out that it's not only me that doesn't understand accents...some people from here don't understand MY accent D:)....  So I got home mega late for lunch...but Sophie was still eating her breakfast, so I guess it was ok after all.  Then Chuy went to get stuff for the dinner, but he somehow lost the list...so he got corn starch instead of corn meal (which is NOT the same at all)...and he forgot to get a can of chopped tomatoes for the chili....and then I realized, we didn't have enough chili seasoning...  So it would seemed that my craving meal was not going to happen...but whatever, I was not going to let some missing ingredients stop me!  So I made a chili-like stew and made cornbread with some small amount of corn meal we had leftover.  It was pretty delicious...  So even though nothing went the way I expected, everything worked out (let's just pretend that my presentation being not finished is ok....) :)

The mentioned stew and cornbread, pretty awesome stuff!

  1. Yeah, things almost never go as planned. But i'm glad things turned out ok. :D You'll be fine with your presentation!! It's the last thing (besides presenting it) that you need to do!! Isn't that awesome?!
